Reliving our History
About The Project Our 1930s Camp Woodcraft Folk History Resources

Chaos Venturers

Chaos Venturers; the name says it all. Although the name may deceive we are a well established, long running group. Consisting of about 25 people we have met every week for a number of years and are still going strong.

We range from the ages between 13 and 16 in an organisation called the Woodcraft Folk. Many of us have strong relationships with and fellow woodcrafters’, we see each other at weekly group nights and outside the folk. We are also linked with many other woodcraft groups around the UK and also groups from around the world, we have a strong link with a boys and girls club in Montana and also a group of people from the Czech Republic.

The Woodcraft Folk is a co-educational children’s and youth movement that teaches self reliance and a commitment to creating a better world for the future. Our movement promotes peace, equality, democracy, co-operation, care for the environment and international friendship. Activities include games, craft and social education. During the year we take part in various outdoor activities, including hostelling and camping.
